PRIMARY RESEARCH
A survey of 231 tech professionals provided valuable insights. Results showed a high demand for community features to foster interaction and engagement. Based on this feedback, prioritization of these features in the product roadmap was decided, aiming to enhance user experience and build a stronger community.

SECONDARY RESEARCH
To optimize user engagement within our product, we conducted a competitive analysis of platforms like Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, LinkedIn Learning, Discord, and Slack. This research will inform our approach as we develop strategies to foster interaction and a sense of community.
Based on the research, there were three key areas to optimize the user experience.
Form teams with other learners to work on hackathons/design challenges or prompts.
Tags used to facilitate balanced group formation (based on language, time zone, roles, skills).
AI Product manager provide suggestions & next steps.
View timestamped comments & questions left by the other learners (both real-time and previous).
Comments are filtered by AI to add value to the user.
User can respond to comments or add their own.
Small learning checks (in 7 days /month) to earn points and display on a leader board to replace calendar.

USABility testing
Usability Testing Uncovers Areas for Improvement
After we finished the prototype, our team conducted usability tests with two users to validate the design before the hackathon deadline. Testing yielded both positive and negative feedback, highlighting areas for improvement for the team.

Messaging features for project collaboration aren't easily discoverable, potentially hindering teamwork and communication. This suggests a need for clearer UI or onboarding instructions.

The gamification system lacks clarity, potentially harming user motivation and hindering effective collaboration due to confusion about point acquisition, team vs. individual rewards, and project formation.

Expand Usability Testing:
Recruit a larger, more demographically diverse user pool for testing. Incorporate heuristic evaluation alongside user feedback for a deeper analysis of the revised onboarding.
Iterate with Metrics:
Track onboarding completion rates and user drop-off points. Use this data to guide further iterations and refinements to the onboarding experience.
Optimize for Mobile:
Prioritize mobile-specific testing methods. Conduct testing on various devices and screen sizes to ensure optimal rendering and usability across platforms.
